Tipping Point

It’s finally happened. I have both gotten older (as one does), and switched to teaching a younger age group.

I am now the same age as many of my student’s parents!

Exactly the same as some, but would at least have been in high school with most of them.

It wasn’t that long ago that I was just starting out, and my students were less than a decade younger than me. Many of my students had parents older than my own.

The only upside I can see to this development is that my students no longer object to my nostalgic Pandora stations. Red Hot Chili Peppers, Nirvana, No Doubt, and Sublime are the oldies that their parents raised them to love.

Pretty much everything else about this development seems negative.
