The TV Kind of Alaska

Today we drove up to Girdwood, Alyeska, and then to Portage Glacier. All of this was located in the Chugach National Forest, which is massive. The weather changed about every three miles or so and we did most of our sightseeing in the car. We did get out at Portage to look around. The wind was so astounding that I lost my hat briefly and dropped my phone in a puddle. When we got back in the car we were totally drenched and freezing, but exhilarated. Everything was so pretty today. Everything seemed worth the taking of a picture. We took a lot.

Because of the fog I can’t easily point out the actual glacier in the pictures, but the blue of that glacial ice in the water is pretty impressive on its own. All non-glacier pictures just come from random pretty spots along the drive.
